Wolverine Construction Management has been selected to serve as construction manager for the new Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. The facility is planned for construction in downtown Grand Rapids, located at the corner of Michigan Street and Bostwick Avenue. The planned facility will be a state-of-the-art 440,000 square-foot hospital with 14-stories dedicated to pediatric care.

“It is a wonderful opportunity to team with the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital for this project.” said Bruce Burgess, Project Manager for Wolverine Construction Management. “The building will be very unique and will become an immediate landmark building in Grand Rapids.”

A groundbreaking ceremony for the new facility was held in October. The new Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital is slated to open in 2010.
